Defending Our Public Lands
This year, our public lands have faced a ceaseless wave of attacks. From staffing cuts to proposed sell-offs, the places we love are under threat from the Administration and Congress like never before. Drastic cuts to the federal agency workforce and attempts to sell-off public lands and roll back Roadless Area protections have spurred the outdoor community to action.
Join us to hear from policy experts about the latest threats to federal public lands, creative ways that The Mountaineers and our partners are making a difference, and how you can most effectively use your voice to protect the outdoors. The program will feature an intimate, insider conversation with plenty of time for your questions.
At this critical moment for the outdoors, we invite you to gather with fellow advocates and raise your voice for the places we cherish - so that future generations of Mountaineers can continue to enjoy the wonders of nature across the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
Speakers include:
- Louis Geltman, Vice President for Policy and Government Relations, Outdoor Alliance
- Betsy Robblee (moderator) - Conservation & Advocacy Director, The Mountaineers
The evening will conclude with an invitation to support The Mountaineers Conservation and Advocacy program through philanthropic support.
Your choice of admission level is based on the level of support that is most meaningful to you*.
* Each admission has a fair market value of $75 including food and drink.
If this date conflicts with your calendar but are still interested in supporting, there is an option to include a 100% tax-deductible donation in lieu of attending. If you are attending and would like to support at a deeper level, you may also choose to make a pledge of support at the event.
